Hi! I am trying to plan a weeklong honeymoon in July on Vancouver Island. I am from Portland, OR.
There is so much to do and I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. My fiance and I know we want to spend a couple of days in Victoria and then do a drive up the east coast to Parksville (stopping at towns, wineries etc. on the way). Besides that, we'd rather not do a ton of driving.
So, from there, We'd like to chill out somewhere, ideally a cute town, and just spend a few days relaxing in a pretty place (maybe go kayaking or hiking).
So...I cannot decide...West Coast or Gulf Islands. And where on the West Coast or which Gulf Island?
Any thoughts?
(Also if anyone can recommend affordable accommodation suggestions that would be wonderful!)
